How they met, told by Jake:
It was junior year of college and Breanne had gone up to Syracuse, NY to spend New Year's Eve with her roommate, Kara. The girls went to a New Year's party and Breanne was introduced to several of Kara's high school friends, one of them being me. We immediately clicked but knew we'd likely never see each other again with Breanne heading back to school the next day. As luck would have it, a snowstorm hit and kept Breanne in Syracuse for a few more days. When we ended up running into each other on another night out, we knew right then that it was meant to be.
The Proposal:
I surprised Breanne with a trip to Asheville, NC 'for her birthday'. The weekend was filled with vineyards, horseback riding, and terrace brunches; all of Breanne's favorite things. On the first day, I took her to the Biltmore House and while standing on a bridge overlooking one of the most beautiful views, got down on one knee. Neither one of us can actually remember the exact words that were exchanged, but we both know it was one of the most magical, wonderful moments of our lives.
