Wild Dunes Resort | Isle of Palms, SC - Charleston South Carolina Wedding

Olivia and Daniel’s August wedding at Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, SC was a day of pure magic. Despite the summer Charleston heat, their wedding day was filled with so many sweet, silly, and heartfelt moments. Getting to witness all the little glances and gestures between the two was one of the more special moments of the day. Olivia and Daniel truly share a unique and quiet connection with each other. They had told me from the start of the day that they were most looking forward to taking beach couple’s portraits and our time on the beach did not disappoint. We were given a quiet and calm beach setting to take a break from the reception and shoot some dreamy portraits before returning to the dance floor.

How they met:

It was Saturday, April 24th, 2021 when Daniel and Olivia unknowingly decided to go to the same bar for a fun night out. They both noticed each other early on in the night when they caught each other's eyes across the bar...multiple times. She walked outside for one minute and sat down on the couch alone to get some fresh air. A girl walked up to her when Olivia noticed it was one of the girls that Daniel was talking to just minutes before. She said, "There is a guy inside that thinks you're really cute and really wants to talk to you." Olivia said, "Does he have blonde hair, big muscles, and is wearing a white shirt?" And she said, "Yes! He's super shy. Can I bring him to you?" Olivia of course said yes. She walks off and brings this man to her. They chatted for a few hours and decided to go on a sushi date a few days later. Daniel walked Olivia to her car, gave her a hug goodbye and started counting the days until they saw each other again.
